NEP 2020, has a similar mission. Our aim is to provide a pan India solution that removes the on ground implementation problems it is facing
Under Skill Development, NEP 2020 has Mandated establishment of labs & teaching of coding & robotics in primary schools.
However, Ground Reality has Implementation Problems like:
Cost of establishing & running a Robotic lab
Cost & availability of trained faculty.
Total non availability of faculty in small towns & rural areas
Problem of faculty churn due to high demand & low availability
Non availability of professionally created, centrally located, quality teaching material, & back-end project support
Inability of faculty to keep pace with technological changes
The solution requires Mind Set Change at all levels
Look at “Computers & Coding” as one subject
Convert an existing computer lab in to a “Computer cum Coding” lab
Provide “Teacher Guides” with content made so simple, that existing computer faculty can first learn, & then teach
Make available even simpler grade wise “Student books,” to enable children to learn & practice on their own, or with a little nudge from a teacher
Aim at making children entrepreneurship, or job ready early in life (possibly by the time they leave school), & not run the rat races of marks.
